Henna is an ancient body art originating from the Middle East, India, and Northern Africa. Henna is a natural plant dye that can stain skin in intricate patterns for two weeks or more. Henna is a perfect addition to parties for teens and preteens, mom's nights, showers, or family reunions. Henna is not recommended for children under 7 or pool parties. Workshops and presentations can be taylored to your specific needs. Perfect for schools, libraries, scout troops, or a group who just wants to learn something new! Rates start at $65 for public schools and libraries, or $75 for other organizations. Please call for a quote. Presentations are best for children 7 and up. Themed presentations can cater to any age group and focus on Indian culture or fashion, or temporary body art options. Presentations for yonger children include a reading of the picture book, Nadia's Hands. Each will get a henna design. Older children and adults will have a hands on opportunity to try henna painting and get a henna design from the artist. One hour presentations can accommidate up to 15 people. Workshops are best for teens and adults. Workshops include much more hands on time. Students will learn to mix their own henna paste, different applications methods, tricks of the trade and much more.
